There are many aspects of coaching that I don't claim to be an expert on, but certainly discipline is one of the criteria.

We believed Brad was the elite coaching candidate. He came from a winning program with the Philadelphia Eagles. He's an NFC guy, knows NFC opponents and played an important role in the development of Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb.

The way this coaching staff responds to players, this would be the right environment for him to move his career forward. But all that's subject to his reinstatement.

After significant evaluation, we feel that now is the time to make a coaching change.

We're going to turn it around. We spoke in detail with the coach and coaching staff and we know what we have to do. We have to get everybody back and energized and back in the winning ways. We're 0-2, but it's a long season ahead of us. Our main goal right now is still to win our division, and I think we can get back in our winning ways.
