We're going about it, quite frankly, that Zack is not going to be here in time to get ready for the rotation. We pretty much are preparing for the worst right now. That could change. I don't think it will.
So I'm sure it's been a confidence thing off and on but he's a smart kid and next spring he's going to look back on this thing and (realize) he's learned quite a few things.
We're still trying to get to their level. We're not quite there yet. But we'll get there.
We had a lot of chances early against a good pitcher, but we just couldn't get anything done. That is the best I have seen (Jose) Contreras throw in quite a while.
Woody wasn't throwing at him. But, quite frankly, Doug did what he had to do to keep things from escalating.
Quite honestly, I think that is a long shot.
I have to look at the one-run losses as somewhat of a positive. It shows that we're a team that has some character, we just don't have quite enough.
You want to make all the routine plays, but frankly that ain't quite enough. You've got to go beyond your limit every once in a while. I don't know how capable of that we are. Only time will tell.
