I got off to a great start today, which really helped calm everything down and put me up in front, where I didn't have to feel like I had to make birdies.

She has not done that in probably eight years. I feel like I slow down a lot more with her, which is great because that's my big problem, I get too fast.

Last year, I played good enough to win probably three tournaments. I ran into David Toms at the Match Play; he was unbelievable. Tiger and I beat the field by 7 here. At NEC, I posted a number, and he made a great birdie on 16. New Orleans (a tie for third) is the only one I regret because I feel I gave that one away. I hit a bad shot on 10, and it took me out of my rhythm.

With the way it is shaping up and the players who are up there, it looks like it is going to be a great last day.

There's probably a half-dozen to a dozen guys who usually don't play the week before a major who are playing this week because of where it is. It's a great test for next week.

I'm looking forward to it, ... I've got a lot of great players behind me that are trying to win, too.

It was a good time, it was a good one to get us two up. This is a great atmosphere, we need our fans cheering. We need it loud.

This is a good win for Phil. This is great for his confidence. He might go 5-0 now, which is what we're going to need. We jell really good together. He calms me down a lot and keeps me focused on the shots I need to make. I can't tell you how much it helps to have Phil Mickelson next to you in the fairway.
