I thought I might whiff, I was so nervous. But I thought about two guys. I thought about Fred Couples and how big a putt he made on 18 to win against Vijay and I thought about captain Nicklaus. That's what our whole goal was this week, to win it for him.

I like my chances, because I know how competitive I am. I love match play. It's going to be hard to play somebody as competitive as me. There might be guys better than me, but as far as as never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think too many guys have that.

This is a good win for Phil. This is great for his confidence. He might go 5-0 now, which is what we're going to need. We jell really good together. He calms me down a lot and keeps me focused on the shots I need to make. I can't tell you how much it helps to have Phil Mickelson next to you in the fairway.

There might be guys that are better than me, but as far as competitiveness and never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think there's too many guys that have that.

I can promise you that's not true. There was a lot of pressure here, I can assure you. That last putt I thought I might whiff, I was that nervous. My caddie told me, 'This is the moment you've been waiting for your whole life, so go ahead and do it'. So I did. We needed this cup. We really did.
