That game is a real concern because that's a big division game that you expect to play well in. That was a combination of poor mistakes, not winning one-on-one battles and erratic play. At times, you had guys scared to make a play.

Sometimes players find a niche with a certain team, and he's found that niche. It just goes to show that those veteran guys who people think are washed up, in the right circumstances, it can work out perfectly.

It's a challenge when we're playing desperate teams. We looked tired. Even when we were pushing, we looked tired. We have to get the guys some rest. But I think this adversity can be good for us if we use it to our advantage.

There's a lot of things that we're going to find out, but that's exciting to me. I can't wait to get these guys out on the ice and see what they can do as a group.

He's one of our young guys who has the ability to score and put points on the board. There's always a transition coming over here, but we'll see how he adjusts as the level goes up through the exhibition games.
