Marty has been focused all year on the future. This year, he's in a groove. He's just like the rest of us. The past is the past, and he's going to do what he's done for us and play well.

Marty will play tomorrow. We expect Marty to be a top goaltender every night. Whether he expects it or not, that's the role we put him in, and he has to take that responsibility and give us a chance to win every night.

Our big guys answered the bell, Marty included, and that's a good sign.

We can be an average or below-average goalie and just wallow along, or we can we be a really good one and give our team a chance to win, and that's the responsibility we need Marty to take. And he's done it in the past, so it's not as if we're asking for something that we don't know is there.

It made them rework their plan. He's just so good. If we can clog up the neutral zone and force them into bad dumps, Marty will clean up a lot of that.
