We want to take this and teach our athletes that there is a bigger picture. We are thankful we still have a gym and a football field. We are trying to get the kids to learn a life lesson.
It's time for us to grow up as a team. I don't think we've handled success as well as we've handled adversity. Every time we've come off a bad loss, we've played well the next game. It's important for us to learn how to build off big wins.
They learn how to take better pictures. Twenty-five percent of the class is taking pictures. The students take their own shots and share them in class where we get to critique them. They also get to turn a modest picture into a stunning picture by changing the perspective.
It was nasty. The nastiest one, though, was when he struck out Lane on a fastball down. That's where he's got to learn to pitch.
It's a good thing for kids to be able to learn about athletics in this way. We thought this was a great way to get the word out and let kids know that this is out there.
