If those people making the calendar are ticked off, they have a reason.
To do this is nickel-and-diming. People will end up bypassing the skycap altogether and going to the ticket counter, or they'll book tickets on another airline.
There's no advantage to this at any airport. It doesn't speed anything up and people would pay $80 for the same security they get now. There's no better security. It's just a lot of smoke and mirrors.
If there's a morale problem at United Airlines, the employees aren't telling people about it. Their service is at the cutting edge of excellence.
It's like monkey see, monkey bad. People say customer service is bad, so people just repeat that.
