O. Henry Bit Quotations

I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

I got off to a little bit of a rough start to say the least. There was a lot of excitement and adrenaline being my first opening day start. It reminded me of my high school basketball days when we used to bounce around in the locker room before a game. That was the feeling I had. It was fine once I settled down and let my defense work. It was back to the good old Henry.

I was able to get into a little bit of a rhythm there. The biggest thing was getting ahead. Once I got ahead I could start to mix in off-speed stuff, keep them guessing and off-balance. In the first inning I'd be 2-0 and everybody in the park knew I was going to throw a fastball. Once I settled down it made things a lot easier.

I was upset when I heard the news, but you can't be mad because I have a bunch of great guys in front of me on the receiving corps. I'm sitting back and observing to see how things are out there in the regular season. I did notice that (the pace) picked up a little bit from the preseason.

I think it was somebody with too much time on their hands, and maybe they have a little bit of prejudice in their heart and just vented it.

One goal against Rogers is never enough. We were in a little bit of a hole there (in the first half). But I thought we played better in the second half. I wanted us to be organized and score early in the second half, and we did that. A tough game like this will help us at state.

Switzerland are not inferior to anyone. They played well against England. With a bit more luck, they could have scored early against England. It was very close and at 11 against 11 I though they played very well.

He's limping a bit but he'll be fine.

It's a little bit early to say anything has failed. We have a long hot summer before you have a sense of what's going to pop up in terms of policy.

This was my birthday present. Winning the game was all I really wanted. It was a cutting fastball a little bit over the plate. It was a huge win after (Friday). We were real flat coming back from (playing) Dixie State. We needed a win to get us on a roll.

They're so excited. Friday the goals got moved down there and they were all wanting to go down. They're very excited to get it open, to start playing on it. Because it plays a little different than even our football stadium. It's a little bit longer of a turf, so it's nice.

I don't want to cause an argument or create trouble but I think it was a penalty. With a bit more luck on our side the referee would have made the decision.
