Avery Johnson Series Quotations

I thought this was our best performance of the series. We talked about playing tough, hard-nosed defense tonight to try and close this series out.

We've had some guys out for long periods of time. We've got to whip those guys back in shape. We're waiting on (Keith) Van Horn to come back, which we think he can come back in about a week to 10 days. Hopefully, that other series will stretch to seven games.

This series is not over. We've been in that position (down 0-2) before and we have a lot of respect for what they do throughout the game and see why they are one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

This isn't going to be an easy series for anybody. Memphis isn't going to back down from anybody. They haven't played their best game.

I'm glad to get this series over. Obviously, we would have had four swings at it. I'm glad to get it on the first swing. Now it's time for us to try to get some rest and get some bodies healed and get back to practice, because that's my favorite part of this whole deal.
