I think it was a wake-up call for people. I don't think a lot of people were aware of the rules. At this point, you have to play well every day. They're short series. In a short little round, there are only three games. You have to treat every game like it's a big one.
We don't play to just make it to the playoffs, we've been to the playoffs before. We play to win, and we fell short again.
We've won it before, and anything short of that is failure. You don't work the whole off-season, spring training and six months of games to finish second or third. If you don't win, you should feel it's a failure.
You have to have a short memory. You have to forget. You can't say you're embarrassed because they are major-league players. They've played better than us in every area this year.
