The women had an outstanding day in placing second at the McPherson Invitational on a windy day. Six out of seven runners improved their times from last week's meet. Overall, the women ran about a minute faster on the Rolling Acres course compared to a year ago.

We had a really good meet. Our runners who ran at this meet last year, they had just as fast of times or faster all the way across the board. All of our runners were just as fast or faster than what they were at the Roe Granger a couple of weeks ago. Both teams showed considerable improvement.

We had a strong feeling about Jordan after meeting him last year at Road Atlanta. Obviously BMW feels he will be a top competitor and represent their brand well, as noted by their selection of him as a BMW Junior Driver for the 2006 season. As a team, it is our responsibility to help develop his skills to their fullest potential and put him in a position to excel both on and off the track.

We are still trying to learn about ourselves and are trying to build on these last few matches and see what we can accomplish. We are trying to be a better team each time we go out there.

You never can count Bode Miller out. He can put down a great performance, and he obviously has got something to prove in the last race.

Alex didn't play at all last year, maybe he should of. In the spring we knew he was special and he gets better and better each day.

This might be Paul's biggest test. His strength has been combining a strong business acumen with an understanding of expediency. I don't want to predict how long Paul will remain in the job, but I'm sure that there's a good chance that this will probably be his last labor agreement.

The last rate increase was in 1996. Apple Valley and Howard residents are at a $33 quarterly rate. Since they are all on the countywide sewer system, I think it would be a good idea to keep the rates standard. We also anticipate the need for some maintenance coming up in the future on this subdivision's system.
