We both come from academic backgrounds in the health field and had been working as researchers at the University of Edinburgh. We decided to come back to the States.

On campuses and in the areas outside each and every university entrance there are solid picket lines and no one is going in. Students have decided to show their support by not going in.

The unequivocal backing from members of both unions for industrial action sends a clear message to the employers. University staff do not appreciate being lied to and today they have said that enough is enough.
