I am convinced after more than 50 years in the field of motivation that anyone who wants to learn to look at life and/or their circumstances in a positive light can do so.
Why we are here is important, but to know where we are going is imperative. It's not what you've got, it's what you use, that makes a difference in how your life turns out.
The past is your LESSON. The present is your GIFT. The future is your MOTIVATION.
A positive attitude and personal motivation allow you to remain excited about what you are doing - no matter how difficult the challenges may be day to day.
Once a need is satisfied, it is no longer a motivator. Satisfaction does not increase motivation
Don't wait until you feel like taking positive action. Take the action and then you will feel like doing it.
Motivation is the spark that lights the fire of knowledge and fuels the engine of accomplishment, it maximizes and maintains momentum
Motivation needs to be a part of your own life for you to be effective in conveying it to others.
Motivation fuels the attitude that builds the Confidence necessary to sustain the Persistence.
Motivation is like bathing. You've got to do it every single day.
My core philosophy on winning and motivation is summed up by saying that you were born to win, but in order to be the winner you were born to be, you have to plan to win and prepare to win before you can expect to win.
Desire is the Mother of Motivation because that is where Motivation is born.
People always say 'Motivation is great but it doesn't last.' I just tell them, bathing does not last either, that is why I recommend it daily.
Don't give up just because of what someone said. Use it as motivation to push harder.
Success is not a destination: It is a journey. The happiest people I know are those who are busy working toward specific objectives. The most bored and miserable people I know are those who are drifting along with no worthwhile objectives in mind.
Motivation gets you going and habit gets you there. Make motivation a habit and you will get there more quickly and have more fun on the trip.
