I can't see what I'm doing from inside the race car while I'm outside it, so I guess I'll have to have a sit-down (with Stewart) and figure out what went wrong. I want to clear the air because I don't want to get dumped at Atlanta. Atlanta will hurt.
He did and he didn't. He had a sense of 'Yeah, OK, that makes sense but still, I don't care.' He's in his race car trying to run his race and I'm trying to run my race. Sometimes conflicts happen.
We talked a little bit. It was a good conversation. A civil one. We just talked about what I aggravated him with last week and we both decided to move along and see how we can race the rest of the year.
That was a great run for us. We have a good race car. It's the sister car to what we won with here last fall, so hopefully (my team) can make it just as good, if not better.
With about 40 laps to go, it's time to race and time to get after it and that's what I was doing. If I did something and aggravated Stewart, well, I'm sorry.
You can learn a few things. but it's more so throughout the race having adjustability built into your car.
There are guys you race with and there are guys you can't.
You talk like Kurt and I are wrecking people intentionally. That's ludicrous! That's absurd! That statement is about as silly as someone celebrating a race win in 80-degree weather in Texas with a snow angel.
I know Jimmie is a chase driver, but it doesn't much matter to me, I'm trying to race as hard as I can to win,
It's a really great race track the way it is now.
